Dive Club

InDepth Dive Club is the region's largest, and most active, PADI and SAA - Sub Aqua Association scuba diving club, we meet at Tewkesbury School Swimming Pool, Gloucestershire, every other Thursday and at Cromhall Quarry, South Gloucestershire, on the alternating Thursdays. Our HQ is based at The Dive Den; nestled in the beautiful Wye Valley at Symonds Yat, near Ross-on-Wye, in Herefordshire.

We cover an area of the West Midlands and South West, including Bristol, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Worcester, Hereford, Monmouth and the Wye Valley. We also have members from all over the UK that take part in our regular UK Dive Trips and Overseas Holidays.

Our website is always best viewed on a desktop computer, laptop or tablet style device. The mobile version does not include everything and is a simplification of the full site.

We are a welcoming and inclusive club. We pride ourselves on offering training and dive trips & holidays to suit all of our members. Beginners are welcome, we run regular 'Try Dives' / 'Discover Scuba' and 'Learn how to scuba dive' courses. We are a family friendly club and a PADI Approved Youth Training Centre. All core club members and instructors have been DBS (Enhanced) checked and cleared by the authorities and approved by PADI.

We can also offer support with BSAC, SDI/TDI and other agencies via the InDepth Dive Centre, our commercial arm, including cave and mine diving, advanced wreck diving, advanced nitrox and decompression procedures as well as CCR / rebreather training.

If you'd like to pop along and meet us one Thursday, at Tewkesbury School Swimming Pool, then please do. You'll receive a warm welcome and be made to feel at home. Please see our Club Calendar.

Scuba Diving is Fun!

There's no two ways about it, scuba diving is an incredible thing to participate in. Yes, it is an extreme sport, but it is also a safe sport; certainly at the recreational level. And it is something that will, quite literally, transform your life!

"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever."

Do you love the water and enjoy being on or around the ocean? Do you long for an adventurous life, or have a desire to see things that very few others have the privilege to see, do you want to challenge yourself to learn a skill that has the capacity to take you around the world... if so, then scuba diving will almost certainly be the sport for you!

An Anenome Fish in Egypt.

If you become a scuba diver then you will see things that only a handful of people will ever get to see, you will visit remote locations around the world, dive on sunken shipwrecks and witness history that has sat on the seabed untouched for tens, if not hundreds, of years!

You will see the ocean's creatures in their habitat and almost certainly encounter curious animals such as dolphins and octopi that will engage with, and enthrall you. Creating memories that you will cherish for the rest of your life!

You will make friends and create bonds that run deeper than you can imagine, friendships that have real meaning and substance. Consequently, many will share in something and connect at a spiritual level whereby a simple glance can communicate a hundred words, your 'buddy' will know you and understand you better than you know yourself and you will share a mutual understanding of each other and a love of the sport that you can never get enough of. Such is the wonder of the ocean and for those that can hear her calling, there is no substitute than to immerse oneself in her wonder.

Can you hear her calling?

If so, then why not start down the path that will forever influence your destiny and learn to scuba dive!

A friendly inclusive club.

Our Story...

The InDepth Dive Club was created by a group of friends who were looking to enjoy and share their love of scuba diving with others, they wanted to dive more, train more and travel more. But they also wanted to get away from the usual 'club politics', the unpleasant gossiping behind your back by people that you thought were your friends.

We wanted to create something different, something better. A place where everyone was respected, trusted and looked out for. A place where 'fickle' wasn't welcome!

A place for good people. Honest and hospitable people that give of their time and expertise to help others. A friendly club!

We are a family friendly club and a PADI Approved Youth Training Centre. Core staff and instructors have all been DBS (Enhanced) checked and cleared.

Club Region.

Whilst the club itself has members all across the UK, we are primarily based in the Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire / Gwent regions.

The West Midlands on the M4 / M5 corridor.

The bulk of our members are from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Clevedon, Bristol, Chepstow, Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth, Hereford and the surrounding areas.

Consequently we meet fortnightly at Tewkesbury School Pool and on alternate weeks at Cromhall Quarry (summer months). We run 'Try dives' and 'Learn to Scuba Dive' courses regularly.

We frequently dive off the South Coast, Lyme Regis, West Bay, Weymouth, Swanage, Portland, Babbacombe, Brixham, Plymouth and Ilfracombe, amongst other locations.
