The SAA National Diver course is the highest accolade that can be achieved by an SAA member. A highly-trained SAAA / CMAS Instructor will mentor you and help you achieve this accolade.

By the end of the course, you will have reached a level in the SAA that very few achieve.

How Much Will It Cost?

​

Club Membership is £39 per annum.

​

The SAA National Diver course is completed over several months. Club members undertaking this course will be expected to reimburse their instructor's out-of-pocket expenses and you will incur travel costs as you will be required to undertake multiple exams.

SAA National Diver Course - 4 Star Diver

The SAA National Diver / 4 Star Diver puts you in an elite class.

SAA National Diver, the highest SAA Accolade.
SAA National Diver - 4 Star Diver preparation available through InDepth Dive Club.

If you think you have got what it takes to reach the very top then perhaps the SAA National Diver grade is the one for you.

1. THEORY - AND THEN SOME!

At this level, you essentially need to know it all. Expect to understand Isobaric Counter Diffusion, Trimix blending, Decompression Theory, Pyle Stops, M values, Gradient Factors, seamanship, chartwork and navigation, and more. There is no limit, expect the unexpected.

The exams are at a national level and take a great deal of work to prepare for. This course is a major undertaking.

​

A National Diver - 4 Star Diver is a diver who has been, through nationally organised assessments, proven to have a significantly higher level of knowledge and ability than most divers. A National Diver - 4 star Diver is able to organise a group of divers to achieve major tasks and projects underwater, such as archeological projects.
