SAA National Diver Course - 4 Star Diver
The SAA National Diver / 4 Star Diver puts you in an elite class.
If you think you have got what it takes to reach the very top then perhaps the SAA National Diver grade is the one for you.
1. THEORY - AND THEN SOME!
At this level, you essentially need to know it all. Expect to understand Isobaric Counter Diffusion, Trimix blending, Decompression Theory, Pyle Stops, M values, Gradient Factors, seamanship, chartwork and navigation, and more. There is no limit, expect the unexpected.
The exams are at a national level and take a great deal of work to prepare for. This course is a major undertaking.
A National Diver - 4 Star Diver is a diver who has been, through nationally organised assessments, proven to have a significantly higher level of knowledge and ability than most divers. A National Diver - 4 star Diver is able to organise a group of divers to achieve major tasks and projects underwater, such as archeological projects.
Speak to the Diving Officer if you'd like to enquire, at a national level, about trying to complete this course. We are fortunate enough to have the Vice-Chair of the SAA as our Chairman and so have a unique opportunity to advance any club members that think they can attain this accolade.
