HMS M2 Dive

Diving out of Osprey Quay, Portland, Dorset, DT15 1DX on "Skin Deep"

This is a two dive day, firstly diving the HMS M2 wreck.

The submarine HMS M2 sadly lost with all hands in a dreadful accident just off the Dorset coast.

The 90-metre-long M2 submarine sits upright on a relatively flat seabed at a maximum depth of 31m around the bow and 35m at the stern. She is totally intact, apart from losing her twin three-bladed, 1.78-metre diameter propellers to salvage operators, and still looks like a proper submarine. There are some visible signs of corrosion on the outer surface but otherwise the M2 is in pretty good shape considering her age.

Then after a suitable surface interval, a dive on a harbour wreck at 16m divers decide.

We are not coming back to port between dives, so please bring sufficient gas for both dives.

All divers have to carry a RED/ORANGE DSMB with reel / spool. The DSMB must be 1.5m or larger and the length of line should be at least the seabed depth.

Due to weight and space limitations of the vessel, please only bring a maximum of 1 bailout or deco cylinder.
